SWMSRCC Signs OSHA Strategic Partnership Agreement in Idaho

SWMSRCC partners with Power Construction. Boise State University, and OSHA.

Our new member states are hitting the ground running and getting things done. Business agent,  Steven Kramer on behalf of the SWMSRCC met with representatives from OSHA, Boise State University Idaho Occupational Safety and Health Consultation Program and Power Construction to sign The OSHA Strategic Partnership Agreement (OSP) aimed at Facilitating OSHA standards and guidelines on a Boise Idaho residential project that is currently underway.

The groups taking part in the agreement came together with the common goal of achieving a safe and healthful environment at the 12th & Idaho construction Project. The agreement also commits these partners in focusing their combined expertise and knowledge in encouraging all workers on site to strive for the utmost level of safety. Henceforth, all contractors and subcontractors who work at the site agree to take part in the partnership agreement.

Kramer expects the Partnership Agreement will be the first of many. “The Southwest Mountain States Council of Carpenters is proud to be part of this OSP and looks forward to partnerships such as this becoming standard practice in the construction industry.”
