Nevada’s Local 1977 joined the flag placement tradition at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, as did our Pacific Northwest Locals 425, 360 and 503, with press coverage for Local 503 in Oregon and Local 425 in Washington!

Arizona Signs House Bill 2488 Into Law

Local 1912 Carpenters joined Representative Alma Hernandez last week to witness Governor Katy Hobbs sign HB 2488 into law. The bill allows apprentices enrolled in certified state or federal apprentice programs to work outside of their program’s respective county. This allows apprentices to work any hours of the day as well as in remote locations within the state during their probationary period, offering more job opportunities and flexibility to Union apprentices in good standing.

Legislation to Combat Wage Theft Signed in Colorado

Local 555 Carpenters joined Colorado State Representative Monica Duran to witness Governor Jared Polis sign HB 25-1001 into law. Going into effect on July 1, 2026, the bill increases wage theft claims from $7,500 to $13,000, offering more immediate recourse to exploited workers who’ve experienced wage theft and misclassification. The signing of this bill is a huge win for all workers in Colorado!
