Phoenix Habitat for Humanity

Union Carpenters from Local 1912 rolled up their sleeves and put their skills to work this Saturday volunteering at a Habitat for Humanity home build in Phoenix. This event highlights the spirit of community ahead of the holiday season, as our dedicated Carpenters come together to help families in need, making tangible progress on homes for those who deserve a fresh start.

 

Southern California Turkey Drives

Los Angeles Local 213 with the aid of the Women’s Auxiliary 007, joined electeds in Downtown Los Angeles ahead of Thanksgiving to spread the season of gratitude. California Assembly members Miguel Santiago and Mark Gonzalez participated in the event and welcoming the community. In Orange County, Local 714 joined Assembly member Avelino Valencia for a drive through Turkey giveaway. We are proud of the impact our Carpenters have in their communities on and off the jobsite.

 

10th Annual National Apprenticeship Week

National Apprenticeship week celebrates the different career paths that non-traditional apprenticeships offer. This year National Apprenticeship week is from November 17-23rd it is the perfect time to get informed about career possibilities in the Trades. If you are interested in beginning your career as an apprentice, visit the Southwest Mountain States Carpenters Training Fund for more resources.
