Union Solidarity- Supply Delivery for Fire Crews
Last week, Union Carpenters from Los Angeles Locals 661, 909, 951, and 714 stepped up to support fire crews battling multiple blazes across Southern California. As the Bridge, Line, and Airport fires raged on, these dedicated Carpenters organized and delivered pallets of water, Gatorade, energy drinks, wipes, and electrolytes—essentials to help keep the firefighters hydrated and energized as they worked tirelessly to control the flames.

Brothers Keeper Portland
This past Saturday, Union Carpenters and Training Fund Instructors launched the inaugural Brothers Keeper bootcamp at the Portland Training Center. Sixteen eager participants embarked on this exciting journey, testing their merit at various skills stations learning hard and soft skills that help assess their effort and desire for a career in construction. This four-week program, aimed at disadvantaged communities, provides valuable training and opens doors to careers in the Carpenter trade.

WSRCC Celebrates Mexican Independence Day at LA City Hall
Vice-President Frank Zambrano along with Los Angeles Union Representatives joined Councilmember Hugo Soto-Martinez to celebrate Mexican Independence Day ringing in Hispanic Heritage Month on the steps of Los Angeles City Hall. This year’s theme, “La Fiesta del Pueblo” aimed to celebrate the working class people who have been responsible for shaping Latino culture. WSRCC VP Frank Zambrano spoke at the event, where he spoke and honored the legacy of Latino organizers.
