To stay safe, stay strong, and stay essential, we must stay informed.

COVID-19 has changed our lives and our industry, but it hasn’t changed our status. Carpenters have always been essential members of our communities. But to stay essential, we have to stay informed. Access the latest COVID-19 news, updates, and resources here.

As Union members, we pride ourselves on our training and professionalism. Maintain contact with your employers to understand when you are scheduled for work, and make every effort to report if you are symptom free and feel comfortable doing so. All employees on the jobsite should follow the advice of experts in practicing social distancing, proper hygiene, and other protective measures suggested here.

Those members who show any symptoms should report that to their supervisors and should refer to the CDC guidelines.

For up-to-date information on training centers, visit Western States Carpenters Training Fund website.

Please call your Local Office prior to making an in-person visit to verify that it is open and to see if your business with the local can be conducted via phone. Currently, all locals are open. But, this may change as additional governmental orders are issued.

During this state of emergency, employers are legally allowed to require employees to be symptom-free in order to be on the job site.

Contact your Local Office.

Our staff is focused on serving our members. Your representatives will continue to be a resource to members and active in their duties on job sites.
