Join A Committee

Joining a committee is an important step towards becoming a leader within our Union.

By getting involved and joining a committee you have the chance to shape the future of our Union and your career. Whether you’re a new apprentice or a journeyman, we’ve got a committee for you.

Join a committee

Educates members about our diverse history, and how it directly relates to them and their future as a Union Carpenter.

Join the Education committee.

Mentors apprentices and helps them gain a variety of skills inside and outside of the workplace to become a strong Union Carpenter.

Join the Mentor committee.

Provides hands-on training to members in the latest technology in construction and other industries, helping our Carpenters gain skills and insights that will make them competitive for the job market and able to get every job done.

Join the Training committee.

Leads service efforts within our communities through volunteer programs such as Habitat for Humanity, wheelchair ramps for veterans, or other construction-related services for members in need.

Join the Volunteer committee.

Leads recruitment efforts to expand the collective base of the Union. This committee finds ways to interact with non-union carpenters, and to effectively communicate how market share, benefits, pension, and wages are issues that affect us all.

Join the Worker committee.

Focuses on ways to be involved on policy issues that affect the daily lives of Carpenters. This committee supports the Union’s political initiatives to ensure policies that promote building are favorable to members, and will have a voice in the life-changing decisions made every day by local, state and federal policymakers.
