Members across the region are increasingly using devices to stay connected with the Council and informed on what matters most. So, we’ve made technology a priority going forward.
SOCIAL MEDIA
We’ve increased our social media activity over the past year, and we’re committed to growing our audience on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter, with exclusive content for these platforms to keep you informed and entertained. If you haven’t already, follow us for the latest info from the council.
VIDEO
With an in-house production team, we’re able to create more video content than ever before.
We launched our YouTube channel in 2020 and we’ll be premiering more branded content and web series in the coming months. With a Smart TV, you can even watch our films on a big screen!
MEETINGS
Long before anyone had heard of COVID-19, we were working on updating our capabilities to stay connected. Limitations on getting together pushed us to innovate faster and we’re proud of our results. Although we prefer to meet in person, we’ll continue to find ways to meet virtually that will almost feel like we’re in the same room. In the fall of 2019, we started working on our new website. It’s designed to facilitate a better experience for us all – current members, future carpenters, contractor and developer partners – making it easier to find the information you’re looking for. You’ll see that the site will serve as a hub for staying informed and connected. We want it to feel like a digital Local, and we have exciting plans to make that happen. Some of the things you can do on this site:

- Register to vote
- Get customized Carpenter election endorsements
- And more
As we add capabilities to the site, we’re prioritizing the things you’ve asked for–from event calendars, simplified forms, more multimedia content, and even the option to pay dues online.
