Recently, more than 80 Western States Carpenters filled Boise City Council chambers for a hearing that resulted in the proclamation of July 30th as Carpenters Union Day in the capital of Idaho.
This monumental recognition was made possible through the dedicated efforts of our hardworking Carpenters in the Gem State, who have secured stable jobs, wages, and benefits under the CHIPS and Science Act- bringing benefits to the community that will last well into the future. This day not only celebrates the Union’s contributions but also highlights the ongoing impact of their work in strengthening the local economy and ensuring fair labor practices. It is awesome that our Boise brothers and sister are getting the recognition they most certainly deserve.
Congratulations to Local 635, and many thanks to Mayor McLean for her support!
