Women in Construction Week takes place during the first full week in March and celebrates the role of women in the construction industry. In the Southwest Mountain States, we take pride in highlighting our Sisters’ achievements day in and day out.
As of 2022, women make up only 10.9% of the United State’s construction workforce. While this number has slowly increased over the years, the Southwest Mountain States is proud to promote programs and opportunities to help introduce more women to the industry.
From border to border, our Sisters continue to serve as inspiration to young girls and women to take the first step in exploring a career in the trade. Their hard work, attention to detail, and dedication to your craft and Union do not go unnoticed. Happy Women in Construction Week, Sisters!
