Southwest Mountain States Carpenters was honored to sponsor and judge the 38th Annual CIEF Design Construction Competition in Huntington Beach this week. The event is a friendly competition among high school and college students who are interested in exploring a career in the trades. Students from around Southern California battled to build small structures, which are judged on their design, construction, code compliance and safety.
SWMS Career Connections schools took four of the seven top prizes, including Tahquitz High School who took home the top prize winning Best in Show. We are very proud of every single one of these participants and can’t wait for the next one!
