We are overjoyed when friends of the Carpenters visit and this Summer, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) came by to tour Local 323’s new training center in South LA. The Congresswoman took the time to meet with and talk to some of our Boots and Brothers Keeper apprentices while experiencing firsthand what these programs have to offer. The apprentices showed her what they were learning, and she even jumped right in and tried out our cutting-edge virtual welding machine herself.
Kamlager-Dove also spoke with leadership about the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law’s implementation and applauded our role in developing the skilled workforce that leads the way in building California. She knows what the SWMRCC means to the community, and she vows to fight for our members and their families in Washington DC. Our doors are always open to Representative Kamlager-Dove and we are proud to have her as an ally in Congress.
