Getting Out the Vote at Denver Jobsites

Representatives from Local 555 are registering members to vote on jobsites.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, representatives from Local 555 in Denver have changed their strategy for registering members to vote.  Typical door knocking voter registration campaigns have transitioned to registering members at jobsites due to Covid-19 safety protocols.

To date, Local 555 has registered more than 20 members to vote, verified registration for more than 50 members, and registered another 8 Tradesman.

COVID-19 safety measures are enforced during the registration drive including the wearing of masks, sanitizing and wiping down of iPads, 6-feet social distancing, and more.

The jobsite voter registration drive has visited jobsites at West Lot-Colorado Rockies, Denver International Airport Terminal Expansion, 10Th & Acoma Tower, and Kiewit Headquarters.  It will continue until mid-October.
