INVESTING IN AMERICA:  LAX METRO TRANSIT STATION

Los Angeles Metro Transit Hub is under construction, putting 300 Union Carpenters to work since 2019.

Metro’s transit improvement plan is reshaping how Angelenos and tourists alike will navigate Los Angeles. With effortless connections to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) as priority one, the LAX/Metro Transit Center Station, located at Aviation Boulevard and 96th Street, will integrate seamlessly into the Metro network.

This new station on the Metro K Line will boast an array of features, including a light-rail station, a bus plaza, bicycle parking, a customer service center, a passenger pick-up/drop-off area, and a direct link to the LAX Automated People Mover (APM). These amenities will offer travelers and airport employees multiple transportation options, making transfers between LAX and the Metro system both smooth and efficient. Construction of the LAX/Metro Transit Center Station began in 2019, with over 300 Carpenters on board, ensuring the construction process met the highest possible standards.
