Legends in the Field: Cesar Cota

From chopping it up in the kitchen to swinging a hammer, this Local 1912 legend serves up superb Union commitment.

From working in the restaurant industry to swinging a hammer, it’s been a journey for Cesar Cota of Arizona Local 1912. Cesar learned about the opportunities offered by the Carpenters Union though an acquaintance. Seeing the benefits firsthand made the difference and he started at the ground level as a 1st period Apprentice in 2017. Since then, Brother Cesar has worked his way through the ranks, specializing in Interior Systems.

Earning his place at his Local and at the jobsite as a Legend in the Field, he’s passionate about mentoring younger Apprentices and ensures that the next generation of Carpenters meet the expectations of WSRCC Carpenters. From tackling high-profile projects like the Caterpillar building in Tucson to building a reputation that speaks for itself, this legend proves that consistency and skill are the keys to long-term success.
