This past weekend, the American Legion Post #124 received a major update courtesy of Local 743 volunteers. Kern County members answered Assemblymember Jasmeet Bain‘s call to help veterans of Delano this past weekend. Over two days, Carpenters worked to widen restroom doors to ADA standard in the main Legion Hall to better accommodate veterans with mobility challenges. They also replaced flooring in the restroom area as well.
Southwest Mountain States Regional Council of Carpenters takes pride in giving back and serving those that have served us. The American Legion Post has acted as a community gathering spot for generations and will celebrate their 100th anniversary in 2024.
