Lunch with EST Pete Rodriguez

EST Rodriguez joined Union Carpenters building the future home for art in Los Angeles.

EST Rodriguez visited 140 Union Carpenters working for Clark Construction and Largo Concrete at the expansion project for the newest cultural landmark in Los Angeles County. The $750 million dollar, two story, 350,000 square foot overhaul will bridge across Wilshire Blvd in an impressive feat of architecture that will change the landscape of the world-famous mid-Wilshire area.

EST Rodriguez made note of the unique location of the build and referenced the many of fossils that have been unearthed and painstakingly catalogued during and after excavation. He equated the mark left behind by the dinosaurs with the work that the Carpenters do and the “fingerprints” that they leave behind. “Here you guys are, leaving your fingerprint for generations and generations. Long after we’re gone, people will come to this building to see what you guys put together!”

Rodriguez went on to express the importance of safety and the duty we have to our Carpenter Brothers and Sisters in making sure that we all return home safely to our families day after day. We are proud of our Brothers and Sisters leaving their fingerprints for future generations to discover!
