From Service Member to Union Carpenter.
Christopher Glaze is a First Period Apprentice and a recent graduate of the Career Connections Stars and Stripes Program.
Christopher managed people and resources in the military, and upon transitioning, he began looking for a career where he could put the skills he learned to use.
He was drawn to a union career because he saw during the pandemic that Union workers became Essential workers and kept working, while other types of workers did not. For Christopher, the Career Connections Stars and Stripes program was the ideal Pre-Apprentice training program to test the waters of carpentry.
He’s now on his way to Journeying Out and to a new chapter in his life with the Carpenters.
