June is National Safety Month. It’s time to reflect on what it means to create safe workplaces in the construction industry.
While the risks we undertake are a part of construction work, we have the tools and training to prevent accidents before they happen. That’s why strong safety programs, ongoing education, and strict adherence to OSHA standards are so critical in this industry.
Every one of us, from apprentice to superintendent, plays a role in maintaining a safe work environment. From wearing the proper PPE to identifying potential hazards and speaking up when something doesn’t feel right, jobsite safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Let’s keep our heads on a swivel, always looking out for our Brothers and Sisters, and work to build a safer industry for all. Every worker deserves to go home safe at the end of the workday.
