Oregon Journeymen Graduations

Ceremonies in Tangent and Portland were held in April 2024 for the 2023 graduates.

Members in Oregon enjoyed their first graduation ceremonies as members of the Western States Council last month. Nearly three hundred graduates across Oregon began their Journeyman careers, and celebrations were held in Tangent and Portland, Oregon.

On April 20, 2024, the Tangent training center hosted a ceremony for 40 attending graduates and their families. Commencement speeches were given by Oregon State Representative Paul Holvey and valedictorian Brandon Stover.

In the grand scheme of a Carpenter career, the Apprenticeship takes up a fraction of time, but the learning experiences, friendships formed, and structures built last lifetimes. We wish the best to all our new Journeymen Carpenters.
