Right to Work is Wrong for Montana

Unions rally to stop the war on workers.

Dozens of Montana Union Carpenters stood alongside other Labor Unions demonstrating against House Bill 448 at the state Capitol. If passed, Montana would become the 28th state to adopt Right to Work legislation, much to the detriment of workers and their families. Right to work favors outside interests while workers’ pay the price, affecting Union jobs, wages, and benefits.

“By allowing workers in unionized workplaces to opt out of paying dues, HB 448 would chip away at the ability of unions to bargain with management for better insurance, retirement plans and other benefits, said Mario Martinez, the lead representative for Montana Carpenters Local 82.”
