More than 500 Union members and their families enjoyed a day filled with food, fun, and raffle prizes at the New Mexico Solidarity Day. The event was held at Southwest Mountain States Carpenters Local 1319 in Albuquerque.
Attendees of Solidarity Day enjoyed Carne Asada tacos, a paleta truck, waterslides, bungee jumping, and much more.
New Mexico dignitaries were on-hand to speak to members about the importance of Unions and the great jobs, wages, and benefits Unions offer to their members. Speakers included New Mexico Lieutenant Governor Howie Morales, Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller, and Labor Leader Dolores Huerta.
The Carpenters Union was joined by members of the firefighter, police, teachers, and nurses’ unions. Together, we showed what New Mexico union solidarity looks like.
