In the upcoming race for the United States Senate in California, the Southwest Mountain States Regional Council of Carpenters (SWMSRCC), the Northern California Carpenters Regional Council (NCCRC), along with the entire United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBC), have chosen to endorse Congressman Adam Schiff.
Mr. Schiff has represented California’s 28th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives for over two decades, and his dedication to families and the labor movement has been unwavering. The support from SWMSRCC, and NCCRC underscores Schiff’s strong commitment to the State’s labor issues and his advocacy for the needs of working Californians. The two councils together represent more than 75,000 carpenters in California who are ready to cast their votes in support of a friend of organized labor .
“Adam Schiff will be a strong ally for California’s working families,” says Frank Hawk, Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the SWMSRCC. “We know he’ll stand with us in the U.S. Senate just as proudly as he has in the house or representatives.” Jay Bradshaw, Executive Secretary-Treasurer of NCCRC, echoed these sentiments, “We’re ready to work hand-in-hand with our brothers and sisters in Southern California in order to get Adam Schiff elected to the U.S. Senate.”
Douglas J. McCarron, the General President of UBC, added, “Congressman Schiff understands the needs of working people and has stood strong with more than 75,000 carpenters in California. In his election for Senate, we’re proud to stand with him.”
The SWMRCC has always stood with Congressman Schiff, dating back to his very first run for the House of Representatives. Our continued support for him underscores the trust and rapport he has built with the council over his decades of service. A win for Adam Schiff is a win for Carpenters.
