Helping Homeless Vets
The Young Guns Committee from Local 1977 donated their time and skills this weekend to help Veterans in need. Our Union Brothers and Sisters helped move-in donated furniture unloading a box truck full of goods for Las Vegas Veterans. Ahead of the Memorial Day weekend, Carpenters partnered with Harvison House who provides housing and necessities to help Veterans establish a sense of normalcy. San Diego Carpenters help with upgrades to Jackie Robinson YMCA
Local 619 Carpenters partnered with Homework SD to donate their time and skills to upgrade a wooden outdoor staircase at the Jackie Robinson YMCA. Union Carpenters came out to help the community center to level and reset the worn steps making it a safer environment for kids and families. Homework SD is a Union friendly organization that helps formerly incarcerated persons live a better life through a career in the building trades. We are proud of the work our Brothers and Sisters do to give back!
