SWMSRCC Top Three: week of March 6th

Here is the SWMSRCC Top three for the week of March 6th.

Happy Women’s History Month Women in Construction Week!

As a Council, we applaud the strides that many of our Sisters are making in the industry today. By supporting and empowering women who are interested in exploring a career in the trades. We are proud of the impact our Carpenters are making on and off the jobsite, through mentoring and working together to shape the next generation of Female Union Carpenters. Happy Women in Construction Week! Keep an eye on the SWMS social media channels this month as we highlight our Sisters in the Brotherhood.

A Win for Montana Workers

Montana Union Carpenters have a reason to celebrate as HB448, known as the Right-To-Work bill, failed to pass the House, with a 71 to 28 vote against the Bill. Carpenters put skin in the game rallying against the bill at the State Capitol in the weeks leading up to the vote. Ensuring that legislators know that, right to work is wrong for Montana, the defeat is an all-around win for workers in the state!
