Congressman visits Local 1977
The Southwest Mountain States Regional Council of Carpenters (SWMSRCC) and Local 1977 hosted U.S. Congressman Steve Horsford. Congressman Horsford visited training classes and toured the Training Center in Las Vegas to see the Apprenticeship program in full swing. In 2021, Horsford voted in favor of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which will invest over $4 billion in Nevada, securing future good-paying Union jobs while improving transportation across the state. The Apprentices will be building the new infrastructure that is coming to Nevada and Congressman Horsford wanted to them to know that he gives his full support to the Southwest Carpenters.
Solidarity Day in Southern California
If you’re in Southern California come join your Brothers and Sisters for a family-friendly event at the Carpenters Ontario Training Center! Solidarity Day will feature a variety of booths with live music/DJ, food, T-shirts, games, entertainment, and of course, raffles prizes* (while supplies last! Prizes are open to good standing members).
