Local 1912 Hosts ‘Let’s Build Construction Camp for Girls’

Arizona Union Carpenters hosted the weeklong ‘Let’s Build Construction Camp for Girls’ this past week in partnership with CSI phoenix. Girls aged 8-12 were introduced to the various aspects of a career in the trades including wood framing, sheet rock and finish work. At the end of the week the Local hosted an open house, welcoming the families of the participants to see their hard work.

Local 743 Helps their Community Restore Flood Damaged Homes

This weekend Union Carpenters from Local 743 teamed up with Gods Pit Crew a non-profit Organization out of Virginia and Assemblymember Dr. Jasmeet Baines to help the Community of Pond restore 5 homes. The homes were devastated by the floods during spring storms earlier this year. Homeowners welcomed the help and praised the 15 Union Carpenters who donated their time on a Saturday for their quick and skilled work. Thank you all who volunteered.
