Community Wealth Lawn Sign Distribution
This past weekend Local 323 and South LA Union Carpenters kicked off the member-to-member initiative to lawn sign distribution supporting Community Wealth. Community wealth bring jobs, wages, and benefits to our neighborhoods. Enabling our Union Carpenters to work where they live. We are looking forward to the upcoming events in the month of August.
Nevada Carpenters help Spread the Word
Local 971 Union Carpenters and their families partnered with Spread the Word Nevada to clean/prepare gently-used donated books for children ahead of the new school year. Spread the Word Nevada is the state’s largest children’s literacy nonprofit, distributing over 60,000 books a month to children attending elementary schools in underserved neighborhoods. Carpenters were ready to answer the call to clean books and build shelving as needed in their storage facility.
