Memorial Day

Locals across the Southwest Mountain States honored Veterans by planting flags in honor of Memorial Day. Over 300 Union Carpenters and their families showed their respects from Locals in California, Nevada, and Arizona volunteering at total of nine different cemeteries. Thank you to every Carpenter and family member who used their time and energy to honor these important lives. The events were covered by multiple news platforms including NBC, KCAL, and FOX.

 

Local 562 Piledriver Industry Meeting

This week SWMSRCC invited some of our pile driving signatory contractors for a dinner in Long Beach. Contractors and Local Leaders broke bread discussing industry related issues and what our Union has coming down the pipelineto ensure the future of our members jobs, wages, and benefits. The contractors listened as Union representatives touched on several subjects from incoming infrastructure work and offshore wind to career connections. It was an informative meeting that will result in great opportunities for our Union Carpenters.

 

June 1st begins National Safety Month.
