Member Appreciation Picnics

It was a busy weekend for our Brothers and Sisters in Washington and Montana as they worked to organize member appreciation picnics. Union Carpenters and their families of Local 82 filled their training center in Great Falls, to celebrate their victory earlier this year against right-to-work legislation. Union Carpenters enjoyed a feast of carne asada flown in for the occasion.

In Washington, Local 59 Union Carpenters joined together to break bread Saturday to for their Solidarity Day at Howard Amon Park in Richland, WA. Union families enjoyed a day of fun and games which included bounce houses for the kids and prizes for members. Members were also awarded pins of service for their dedication and commitment to the Union.

It’s time to get out the vote! They want to recall House District 8 Oregon Representative Paul Holvey, a 33-year Union Carpenter of Local 541 Union Carpenter. Ballots are due today October 3rd, remember to Vote No on the recall!

UBC Drywall and Flooring Finals

This week, the best of the best Drywall and flooring Union Carpenters from across the UBC are gathering at the ITC to showcase their skills. Members will be competing for cash prizes and the title of best in drywall and flooring in the UBC.
