Start to the Spooky Season

This weekend Local 721, 213, 1067 and the Whittier Apprenticeship Team kicked off Halloween festivities by hosting the first Trunk or Treat. Members and their families dressed in their ghoulish best for an evening full of sweets, treats, and an outdoor movie screening at the training center. Trunks were decked out in frightful gear, from monster mouths to graveyard scenes, kids and Carpenters alike had a blast with their SoCal Union Family.

Walk for the Cure

Local 1977 and Local 714 had great participation for their respective breast cancer awareness walks this past Sunday. Las Vegas Local 1977 kicked off the month by announcing their annual breast cancer t-shit sale, which features a hammer with angel wings and the classic pink ribbon. T-shirts are still for sale and can be purchased by calling Local 1977. Over 45 Union Carpenters and their families joined in for the 3mile walk.

Meanwhile in Orange County, Local 714 members and the 417 Women’s Auxiliary came out in force with over 2 dozen members making strides in Costa Mesa. Local News station KTLA 5 featured Union Carpenters in their live coverage of the event.
