Here is this weeks SWMSRCC Top Three.

909 Journeyman Graduation

Local 909 hosted their Journeyman graduation this past Saturday. More than 200 Journeyman received certificates from President Sean Hartranft during the ceremony. Friends and loved ones filled the training hall with over 400 people in attendance ready to support our Brothers and Sisters in this major milestone. We look forward to seeing what comes next with this new class of Local 909 Journeyman.

Carpenter’s Family Day at Petco Park

San Diego Local 619 Carpenters and their families enjoyed a day of baseball at Petco Park. Union Carpenters broke bread and warmed up for the game at the tailgate BBQ. Local 619 Lead Jesse Garcia threw the opening pitch in the Padres game against the Cardinals. With the Carpenters on their side the Padres beat the Cardinals 12-2.

Dirty Hands For a Good Cause

Union Carpenter volunteers from the LA team jumped at the opportunity to help students install 5 new premade raised garden planters at Sacred Heart Parish Elementary School in Rancho Cucamonga. Principal Enrique Landin and Teacher Daniella McKeown join our Carpenters and their families in getting their hands dirty for a good cause. When the work was done, our Brothers and Sisters were gifted posters signed by students thanking them for their efforts in beautifying the elementary school.
