Here is the Top Three for the week of September 18th.

National Construction Appreciation Week

Did you know? The third week of September is National Construction Appreciation Week. This week is meant to celebrate workers in the construction industry, recognizing the hard work that many of our brothers and sisters put in day and day out. We at the Southwest Mountain States will be showcasing our Union Carpenters on daily on our social media by highlighting our members, notable projects and invaluable infrastructure built by Union hands.

Hammers and Hoopties

Las Vegas Local 1977 hosted their annual Hammers and Hoopties Car Show and Salsa Contest event this Saturday. Our Union Brothers and Sisters turned out for this event, breaking bread filling the training room floor alongside their Union Family. Nevada Senator, Catherine Cortez-Masto joined in on the fun, taking time to connect and congregate with attendees. Local 1977 grilled a delectable array of meats, filling plate-after-plate with tacos which were a perfect paring for the Salsa contest. This event recognized the hard work that Union Carpenters put into building Las Vegas
