Here is the SWMSRCC Top Three for the week of April 11th.

Combine Day San Diego:

San Diego hosted its first Combine Day over the weekend.  Hundreds of men and women started lining up before sunrise to get a chance to show off their Carpenter skills in front of almost 50 contractors.  After checking in and stretching-n-flexing, attendees tested their abilities in an 8-station skills course where hiring contractors evaluated their hustle.  Many of people walked away with jobs from this successful Combine Day in San Diego

Close to 50 Girl Scouts participated in the clinic whereby 15 Carpenters helped the Girl Scouts construct their Derby cars.  In addition to mentoring them on their projects, the Carpenters also taught the Scouts very basic wood handling and craft skills. The event was sponsored by the Las Vegas Young Guns and Sin City Sisters Committees along with Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada.
