SWMSRCC TOP THREE: WEEK OF AUGUST 8TH

Here is the SWMSRCC Top Three for the week of August 8th.

Carpenter Day at Dodger Stadium

Union Carpenters took over Dodger Stadium over the weekend when LA faced off against the San Diego Padres. None other than EST Rodriguez threw out the first pitch. He threw a strike ball to Local 951 Financial Secretary Alex Madrid who was the EST’s catcher. Both President Hawk and VP Hartranft were behind home plate when the EST threw his pitch. Several thousand Union Carpenters and their families enjoyed watching the game as the Dodgers defeated the Padres.

Aerospace Carpenters

From schools and stadiums to bridges and towers, Carpenters build it all. But some may be surprised to discover that Carpenters are building bigger and better in the aerospace industry.

Local 721 Carpenters are playing a major role in constructing serious, high-level equipment for Boeing, the world’s largest aerospace company. While a lot of the work they do is kept under wraps, it’s clear that these Carpenters are part of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Southwest Mountain States Carpenters Expands to the North

Last year, our Council focused heavily on letting the public know that we build better. Now we can say we build bigger as the Southwest expands North!

The addition of Eastern Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming brings our total membership to over 63,000 members. More members equal more contractors and more opportunities. Join us in welcoming our newest Brothers and Sisters to the Southwest Mountain States. Regardless of where we are located, we continue to be One Brotherhood, One Union – 10 states strong, from border to border.
