Local 1912 Partners with Make-A-Wish to Build Gazebo
Over the past two weekends, Local 1912 Carpenters in Arizona partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This month’s special project was to build a backyard gazebo for a terminally ill child named Thomas. Volunteer Carpenters quickly got together last weekend to pour concrete in the family’s backyard. This weekend, they completed the project by building a gazebo from the ground up. Thank you Local 1912 Volunteers for putting on all hands on deck and making a difference!

Congressman Jimmy Gomez Visits Affordable Housing Job Site
Congressman Jimmy Gomez, representing DTLA, Boyle Heights, Koreatown and other neighborhoods in Los Angeles, visited an affordable housing job site in Boyle Heights, the La Veranda Complex. He toured the grounds alongside a group of Southwest Carpenters. This apartment complex will hold 77 transit oriented affordable units for Angelenos. Our Carpenters are proud to play a role in bringing affordable housing to the most critical regions. Thanks again for the visit, Congressman Gomez!
