Local 805 Carpenters Help Youth Football Team Restore Their Field

Carpenters from Local 805 volunteered to restore the football field for Lompoc Youth Football.  The 15 Carpenters re-sodded the grass, re-chalked the lines, and painted the team building to help get it ready for team practices.  The field fell into disrepair because of neglect during the pandemic.

California Reopens June 15th

After more than a year, California is lifting its COVID-19 restrictions on June 15th.  Starting Tuesday, there will be no capacity limits, or physical distancing requirements for businesses. Fully vaccinated people can stop wearing masks in most places. However, masks will still be required on any form of public transportation, in hospitals and long-term care facilities, indoors at K-12 schools and childcare facilities, prisons and homeless shelters, and indoor workplaces (unless everyone is vaccinated).

The Stars and Stripes Program Begins Classes

Stars and Stripes – a new Pre-Apprenticeship program for transitioning service members – has begun classes in Camarillo, California.  The training will focus on enhancing communication, trade skills, personal development, technology training, and leadership cultivation.
