Combine Day Los Angeles:
Mark you calendars for this Saturday, March 26th. SWMSRCC will be hosting a Combine Day. The event will be held at LA Trade Tech starting at 6:00AM. It’s open to the public for anyone who is interested in becoming a Union Carpenter. Basic carpentry skills will be tested and hiring contactors will be on site.
Local 1977 Honored with the President’s Volunteer Service Award:
Local 1977 was given the President’s Volunteer Service Award by Get Outdoors Nevada. The award certificate and accompanying medal was presented to Local 1977 during a tree planting event at Mayfair Place Park in Las Vegas. It was signed by President Biden. Fifteen volunteer Union Carpenters from Local 1977 cleaned up Mayfair Place Park and planted trees along with Las Vegas City Councilmember Olivia Diaz.
