Combine Day LA:
More than 1,000 people started lining up before sunrise to get a chance to show off their Carpenter skills in front of 100+ contractors. After checking in and stetching-n-flexing, attendees tested their abilities in an 8-station skills course where hiring contractors evaluated their hustle. Hundreds of people walked away with jobs from this successful Combine Day. Both NBC LA and KTLA covered the event.
Tailgate Party:
Local 1319 held a tailgate party over the weekend in the parking lot of Rio Rancho Event Center. The party preceded the Duke City Gladiators football game. Southwest Mountain States Carpenters Local 1319 is a sponsor of the Gladiators and members showed off their Union pride to all who attended the game.
