Governor Sisolak Visits Local 1977:

Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak visited the Las Vegas Training Center to talk about the need for affordable housing in Nevada.  His comments before Union Carpenters and Apprentices were in support of the Home Means Nevada initiative that will invest $500 million to lower the cost of housing, help seniors make repairs and accessibility retrofits to stay in their homes, and boost housing availability.

Voter Registration Campaigns in Full Swing:

Volunteer Union Carpenters have been out-and-about registering members to vote.  Local Representatives have been visiting job sites – setting up tables with registration forms – before work and during lunch breaks.  Locals have also been hosting voter registration events on the weekends.  The Council has a voter registration goal of 70% by the November elections.
