Taste of Soul
SWMSRCC and the African American Task Force participated in this year’s Taste of Soul Festival in Los Angeles. The free daylong event – presented by Bakewell Media and famous for showcasing the best of food, entertainment and shopping in the Southland – offered more than 300 vendors, top recording artists, and the Beer Garden. SWMSRCC and the AATF had a booth featuring the Brothers’ Keeper and Career Connections Pre-Apprenticeship programs.
Trunk or Treat Season Kicks Off
Locals 213, 721, 1607 and Women’s Auxiliary 007 are kicking off Trunk or Treat season with a hybrid Trunk or Treat and Monday Night Football event. The family friendly event features food, games, raffle and a costume contest.
