WA- Local 59 joins Spokane May Day March

Washington Union Carpenters and their families took to the streets this past Thursday for Spokane’s International Workers’ Day March. This annual event brings together members from various local unions, walking in solidarity to raise awareness of issues affecting union workers and the working class at large. The march continues to strengthen and celebrate the spirit of union  and worker solidarity.

 

NM- Local 1319 High School Tour

Albuquerque Union Carpenters welcomed high school students to the Local 1319 Carpenters Training Center for a tour. Over 50 students from Vikings Valley High School visited to learn more about what a career in the trades entails. They had the chance to see the benefits of Union membership firsthand while discovering a debt-free career path through the Carpenters.

 

CO- Local 555 HB25-1001 passes the Senate

The Colorado Union Carpenters have cause to celebrate as House Bill 25-1001 has officially passed the state Senate. HB25-1001 aims to hold criminal contractors accountable by enacting stricter enforcement of wage and hour laws. This legislation is critical to preventing the proliferation of bad actors in Colorado, and we look forward to the positive impact this win will have on workers throughout the state.
