Living Grace Homes provides a vital service in Las Vegas. The organization offers shelter, food, and additional resources for young mothers between the ages of 14 and 24 who are either experiencing or facing the risk of homelessness. With the growing need for Living Grace’s community support, the organization is expanding their facilities. In hope of nearly doubling their capacity, they need help to meet their ambitious goal of serving up to 150 families. That’s why Local Union 1977 Carpenters stepped up to lend a hand. On Saturday, they volunteered to assist with cleaning up the site and offered demolition assistance in preparation for their expansion.  Watch the news clip here.

Graduations Across the Council

On Saturday, Locals 96, 196, 503 & 541 in Oregon, and Local 562 in California held gradation ceremonies for their newest Journeymen. They gathered with friends and family at their respective local union halls to celebrate. These members dedicated four years to learning their crafts during their tenure in the Apprenticeship program, and now they are well-prepared to succeed in their union careers. We are so proud of our 2025 graduating class.

Saturday marked the first day of summer, and hundreds of people turned out for the annual Maryville Strawberry Festival in North Puget Sound. Local 425 Carpenters were there showing up for their community and they joined the festival’s grand parade alongside Snohomish County Councilman, Nate Nehring, a long-standing supporter of Union Carpenters and the working class in Snohomish County.
