We talk a lot about Carpenter Economics, but you might be wondering what we mean when we say it.
Carpenter Economics are the policies and programs that impact your job security, wages, and hard-earned benefits. But there are politicians out there that want to take away our access to good jobs, provide our families with healthcare, and earn a middle-class wage.
There are many politicians that have recently voted to repeal the Davis Bacon Act. Davis Bacon ensures we get paid a prevailing wage for our hard work on public works projects. These politicians (and their views) are bad for your wallet, bad for your families, bad for your welfare, and bad for Carpenters.
This November, as you head to the polls, we hope you will vote for candidates that support Carpenter Economics, support the Davis Bacon Act, and support the hard work that we put our lives on the line to do every day.
The only way to make sure that we survive these tough times, and come out stronger than ever, is to support candidates and issues that support Carpenter Economics.
So when you vote, vote Carpenter Economics.
