$1.5 Billion State-of-the-Art Master Rail Facility is Coming to Southern California.
Leadership from WSRCC signed a construction and maintenance with BNSF Railway for the new $1.5 billion Barstow International Gateway. The agreement was signed at the ITC in Las Vegas.
The Barstow International Gateway will be an approximately 4,500 acre integrated rail facility on the west side of Barstow, consisting of a rail yard, intermodal facility and warehouse for transloading freight from international containers to domestic containers.
This new facility will bring hundreds of jobs for Union Carpenters, reduce highway and port congestion, and maximize rail and distribution efficiency regionally and across the U.S. supply chain.
