Local Picnics
This weekend was full of events with three Southern California Locals hosting their summer picnics. Local 1607 and Local 213 had joint picnic where members enjoyed a Saturday of food and fun. A select group of apprentices were presented with their Journeyman certificates and Millwrights were recognized for their years of service. Finally, Local 951 hosted their annual CUPP appreciation picnic for all members who volunteered a total of 24 hours or more in 2023. We thank everyone that attended and look forward to seeing you all at next year’s picnic.
Don’t miss your Local’s next event. Be sure to follow @WSCarpenters on social media and attend your Union meetings to stay in the know.
Local 743 Gives Back to American Legion
Bakersfield Carpenters came out on Saturday to help American Legion Post 221 in Tehachapi to begin work on some much-needed upgrades to the facility. Over the weekend, Local 743 volunteers began with demo. Our Union Carpenters will be back later this month to finish with the installation and finish work.
This is just another way members use their skills to give back to their communities. If you are interested in participating in CUPP, please visit wscarpenters.org/participate-in-cupp to find an opportunity near you.
