Boots on the ground for measure A
Local 951 Riverside Union Carpenters along with representatives of the Career Connections team came out this weekend in support of Measure A. Measure A is an initiative that aims to improve schools in the Desert Sands Unified district, an area that was recently affected by the detrimental effects of heavy rainfall which included flooding. This measure is a win-win for residents and students of the High Desert, as it would not result in additional tax increases. Remember to Vote in support of Measure A on March 5th!
Union Carpenters save the day
San Diego Local 619 Union Carpenters lent a hand to families in need this weekend. Carpenters donated their time to help families return to their homes after unexpected flash flooding displaced residents for nearly a month. With tools at the ready, Local 619 members cleared out debris and helped install new insulation and drywall to the affected homes donated by Swinerton. The affected Families, many with elderly loved ones, were overjoyed and grateful for the Carpenters assistance.
