WSRCC Top Three: Week of February 6th

Here is the WSRCC Top Three for the week of February 6th.

Batter-Up! Local 743 steps to the plate to lend a hand at Cal State Bakersfield.

This weekend Union Carpenters helped relocate a fence for the Cal State University Bakersfield Roadrunners baseball team. A dozen Carpenters came out Saturday to help with the first phase of this project to help expand the team’s bullpen. The much-needed upgrade will be a welcome improvement to CSU Bakersfield athletics and will serve future athletes from the community into the foreseeable future.

Attention CA voters! Mail in ballots arriving soon.

Brothers and Sisters in California keep an eye on your mailbox as mail in ballots have been released and should be arriving at your homes. Get it Got it Campaign Launched in WA

Our brothers and sisters in Washington launched the “Get it Got it” Campaign aimed at showing the Associated General Contractors of Washington that we mean business. The AGC is standing in the way of our Carpenters getting the increased pension and wages that they need. Every employer association in the area has agreed that our Carpenters deserve better, yet the AGC is holding up the contract. We are standing together to tell the AGC that we will fight for our brothers and sisters until they stop stalling progress, and we demand that they sign the agreement immediately.
