Here is the WSRCC Top Three for the week of January 6th.

New Benefit Updates Effective Jan. 1st 

Attention Carpenters, starting January 1, 2025, Vision Care (VSP) will replace UnitedHealthcare (UHC) as the new vision provider. The Southwest Carpenters Health and Welfare Trust will only offer the UnitedHealthcare Dental PPO Plan. Additionally, Kaiser coverage is now available to eligible participants in Oregon and Washington who reside within a Kaiser service area.

First BOOTS and Brothers’ Keeper Bootcamp of 2025

The Carson Training Center kicked off 2025 with the first BOOTS and Brothers’ Keeper bootcamp of the year, where over 100 men and women showcased their skills and determination. Participants underwent a challenging 5-hour screening process for the opportunity to enter a free, four-week pre-apprenticeship program.
