These graduations mark the culmination of four years of dedication to our Union and commitment to honing their skills through extensive training. Local 909 Movie Night

This past weekend, Local 909 hosted its third annual Movie Night at Carpenter Park in Ontario. Union Carpenters and their families gathered for an enjoyable evening of food and camaraderie. The event featured delicious burgers and tacos grilled by Local 909 representatives, along with sweet treats, creating a perfect atmosphere for watching the Wonka Movie as the sun set over the lawn.

2024 Cumbre Política Latina

Carpenters Local 1977 recently hosted the inaugural “Cumbre Política Latina,” a landmark event dedicated to empowering Union Members through political engagement. The conference tackled pressing issues such as immigration and job opportunities.

The event drew leaders and Union members from across the Western States. Notable speakers included influential Latino political figures like Adrian Fontes, Astrid Silva, Cindy Nava, and Carlos Eduardo Espina, alongside organizations such as Poder Latinx. Aiming to mobilize Latino voters through meaningful discussions in their native language, we invited Union Carpenters from across the WSRCC to take part in the discussions, to center them in the crucial role they play in their communities by getting involved. Together, we can make our voices heard and shape a future we can be proud of.
