WSRCC Top Three: Week of March 24th

Here is the WSRCC’s Top Three for the week of March 24th.

Colorado Carpenters Stand in Support of SB25-005
Colorado Union Carpenters and Millwrights stood in solidarity with fellow Colorado unions at the State Capitol, showing strong support for the proposed SB25-005, the Worker Protection Act. The rally, held in front of the Governor’s office, was a powerful display of unity in favor of the bill. We look forward to the meaningful change this legislation can bring to all workers in Colorado.

AK Local 1281 help Local Fire dept. build to burn
Union Carpenters from Local 1281 are proudly lending a helping hand to the Local Anchorage Fire Department by assisting in firefighter training. This collaboration involves constructing steel-framed walls and small structures to simulate real-life scenarios for training purposes. Real burn scenarios are incorporated to better prepare firefighters for the field, and we take great pride in supporting their vital work.

Local 951 SIB Orientation
Local 951 Sisters in the Brotherhood committee held a special Orientation meeting designed for young women interested in or planning to pursue a career in the skilled trades after graduation. Students received valuable insights into our apprenticeship program, including information on how to join, wages, and—most importantly—individual mentorship from our Sisters in the Brotherhood.
